You are the first guy who actually wrote "if you need help with....(in your case it was API) email me biggercapital@gmail.com" I don't see it very often in the industry.
Thanks.
ok, your blog officially got me into twitter. I tried to stay away for as long as I could.
hmm, I just noticed something, FDA has a tweet, I wonder if they could or would approve a new drug and instead of a news release would just tweet it! :) Your algorithm would be able to pick it up and be the first one in the trade! That would really be an instantaneous information and would probably kill (well, maybe not kill, but significantly damage) insider trading.
We monitor Twitter with our technology. Lots of news hit Twitter first. For our algo it is important to be on Twitter
I am officially out of Twitter, but thanks for following, I did learn that Bill Gates will be in Stanford and Obama is coming to NYC on Thursday, so expect traffic.
I found this story that was published April 8th. If i read every single thing on the net I wouldn't have to ask people in the stores.

On the side note, read this earlier today, what a joke. http://www.bloomberg.com/apps/news?pid=20601087&sid=a4wQK24j3.Mo&pos=2
It could've been me (I was 25 three years ago and wanted to work for Goldman, ohhh what a missed "opportunity"). Poor kid, I checked his finra he started in 2001 before that went to Stanford for a year and before that Ecole Centrale Paris. Lets see if we see a difference between his fate and Jerome Kerviel.
Question for you sir. Was your algorithm able to buy DNDN before the news came out from the chatter on Twitter?
I do not monitor it but saw a traffic spike before the news. There are always a few companies that have spikes. Unless the algo follows them, the algo does not take action.
interesting. I thought that it works like a filter, the more chatter about a company the bigger the possibility it will pop out. It would be interesting to combine that with unusual options trading especially with ADR from some emerging market, maybe pre earnings time :) I found one CIG earnings to come out soon. I like PCS as well, both with some interesting option plays. Too bad I am a bad programmer and can't trust to hire anyone to do the programing, how did you go around that issue? Started programing yourself?
buying PSYS and ITMN on that dip. I am not going against SAC and crew.
My algo bought ITMN small after hours. What is your view on it?
I don't have the time to program so I have a 2 people located in Texas programming for us. Regarding the counter, that is correct: Spike of traffic is an indication of volatility to come. At a minimum, if you have a position and see a big spike, it might be a warning sign to reduce it.
You can't predict the future, but I had a buy order at $10 all day, got hit, I am happy with it. I am not going against higher powers ( Rabbi Cohen and his gang) I have a tight stop bellow $9 and if that happens will get back in after it breaks $10 again, or whenever something interesting will happen. I don't know how can you trust programmers that they won't take your ideas (algorithm) and apply it themselves (or sell it). I like my PCS as well.
I will look at PCS.
leaking wounds from today. Almost got hit on GS someone had a buy order there at 140 thank god. I couldn't believe my eyes what was going on with AAPL. :) . cockroach killed me at WTW, you on Facebook?
just came back to the surface. What a day. I will answer comments over the weekend. Still crazy trading. Algo performed spectacular yesterday
